Michael Sutton, - Publicist
This is Michael Sutton, publicist for the New York-based artist DOTMIG (http://www.dotmigmusic.com). DOTMIG is a thrillingly electic artist who is able to effortlessly leap from classic rock to punk to blues to Americana to dance. There are no boundaries to the man's creativity, his varied material tied together mainly by his knack for toe-tapping pop hooks and upbeat, sometimes humorous vibes. His tunes are definitely rooted in New York culture, in terms of its unpretentious attitude and lyrical references such as "333 River Street."
DOTMIG recently released the album Sexy-N-Lean, which has received rave reviews from online music critics thus far. Adam Harrington in Whisperin & Hollerin compared one of DOTMIG's tunes to the Ramones and praised him for his "nuttiness and fun...It's like he threw various musical styles into a blender and told us to drink up, no questions asked." Kit Burns in Overground Underground said that DOTMIG is the "most invigorating alternative to these gloomy times...delivers a funny, toe-tapping romp with speaker-blowing guitars and positively good times."
Even more impressive is how DOTMIG is conquering the world of Internet radio as several tracks landed on the RadioWave charts with major-label acts for online radio airplay, quite an accomplishment for an unsigned act. DOTMIG is currently being promoted to FM radio stations nationally, and the Carson Daly program asked for a press kit, which was sent to them and is being seriously considered

Review of DOTMIG by
Review: DOTMIG By: K-Be-Tol Date: May 4, 2007 3:00pm "Who is DOTMIG?" Some of us, have heard the music by DOTMIG, and know the words written on paper. Now, lets find out what DOTMIG is truly about. When it comes to their music, and the industry. Or better known as: "The epistemology of aesthetics"
Steven Mignoli: "I believe in the individual, to encourage the individual. We are not people, we are individuals" After speaking with Steven Mignoli and his girlfriend of three years, Diana Pabon. Who met at the City Bistro, and lived at the Hoboken's luxury waterfront high rises for some time. I have come to a better understanding for myself of the band DOTMIG. For the hard work they put in, to making their dreams become a reality. In 1975 his parents, Joe and Ann Mignoli started Hoboken Beer and Soda outlet. Where Steven worked learning what a blue collar worker does. Through out his family history, there is hard working blue collar people, like the average America. So I can see where he gets his drive to keep trying and pushing until he feels, he has achieved what he is trying for. With Guido Diaz, a Latin Grammy award winner producing & playing lead guitar & Mino Class on bass, SexynLean on the keyboard, and Raphael the professor on drums. They came together to create an album that would voice their opinions and express their thoughts through their music. DOTMIG's sounds are extraordinary, with such influences as RocknRoll,Blues, Pop. Punk,Jazz, Techno, R&B, and World-beat. DOTMIG, who has been entering a number of contest like, The Best MySpace Bands , Indiesolo, GarargeBand, and musicnation. Has put this extraordinary band on the front page for the masses. Which has earned them, a number of fans, and many connections to the music industry. Each member of the band is multi-talented when it comes to playing instruments such as: The Piano, Harmonica, Acoustic Guitar, Drums, The Violin, Flute, Etc. While they are humane by nature, they have an understanding. What it takes to earn respect in the world, and in the music industry. They are taking a foot hold in the art movement, and letting their voice be heard. K-Be-Tol: "What is or was your major, while in school?" Diana Pabon: "Business, also soccer *laughs* .." I learned that Diana Pabon had went to school for Business, which has helped DOTMIG in many areas of the music industry. We talked about SexynLean's account at digg.com. A news source site with blogging features. For those looking for information, or wanting to share information. She enjoys researching and talking about all types of information. Which she believes, "to have some kind of understanding, is better then having no understanding." This is a smart woman, who knows her philosophy, politics, and Business. With her musical talents and intelligence, this will only help make her a great artist. Looking to create' and express her self, like the modern day civilized woman she is. With her business background, Sexy looks, and artistic talents, Diana Pabon has helped DOTMIG bloom. K-Be-Tol: "What would you consider the Genre of DOTMIG's music?" DOTMIG: "Diversified!" They went on to point out, "that their music is individual, and is about being an individual." I learned that they understood, what it takes to work together, and have equality, amongst civility, while still having an understanding for the individual. While DOTMIG has an understanding for this, they continue rising to the top, with hopes to inspire the next person. So I am happy to support DOTMIG, for creating, expressing, their extraordinary sound for our entertainment. This band is going to go far, from coast to coast, to international. I would keep an eye on this band because they are helping the art movement, become what the movement is all about. DOTMIG will help bring change with the evolution of sound. With strong beliefs and their virtue at its highest, DOTMIG stands before the art movement, ready to take any challenge head on. DOTMIG is a scene, which is taking shape and this is what makes DOTMIG an art movement.
